Bruce was co-founder and owner of the iconic Shaboo Inn\, a popular Wil
limantic nightclub in the seventies. The club brought in every famous ba
nd you can imagine from around the world\, right here to Mansfield/willima
ntic. At the Shaboo\, one of Bruce's biggest responsibilities was market
ing and advertising. This led him to his next career as an advertising a
ccount executive for the Chronicle News and the Reminder Press. Bruce's
understanding of business came from first working in his father's restaura
nt (Lou's) in eagleville\, being an active partner in the Shaboo for ten y
ears and then helping scores of business owners in the area in marketing t
heir business with the newspaper. With his wife Therese\, he founded the
bread box folk theater in Willimantic in 2009. Bruce uses his past skills
at booking great national entertainment to bring touring folk acts and pa
st shaboo legends to perform to benefit the covenant soup kitchen. they ha
ve raised over 90\,000 dollars so far. He also has done a major benefit
dance for the past sixteen years with his band\, the Bandaleros\, to pay t
he $12\,000 rent for the No Freeze homeless shelter in Willimantic. He wil

Cancer Society\, Windham Area Interfaith Ministry\, Windham Aids Program\

Ashlee Paradis is a small town girl\, originally from East Haddam\, CT who
has a big passion (and voice) for acoustic blues\, soul\, and rock 'n ro
ll. She began studying piano at the age of 4\, and performing live shows
at the age of 13. Ashlee has played numerous venues across Connecticut
and upstate New York since.\n\nAlthough she is well known for performing c
over music at your favorite bar\, it doesn't stop there. She is currentl
y working on her first album as a singer / songwriter\, and will be workin
g on the recording process over the next year which will include some very
talented musicians that she has met along her journey.\n\nHer passion for
music is not limited to her own pursuit\, as she also works alongside mul
tiple venues in the state booking entertainment. She enjoys getting to k
now other performers and hosting events to showcase local talent that dese
rves the spotlight. Lastly\, and most note worthy -- when she isn't p
ursuing her passion as a performing musician\, she is sharing her love of

DESCRIPTION:\nBruce John\, grew up in the beautiful downtown Eagleville sec
tion of Storrs connecticut and has lived there for more than 66 years. H
e started performing at coffee houses and hootenannies in 1962 and has con
tinued to play guitar &\; sing professionally for his entire life. He
is well known in the area as the Singasaurus from the Kidsville Kuckoo Re
vue\, a band geared towards entertaining families and young children\, tha
t he founded in 1989. And as The Human Juke Box who knows over 400 songs.
Bruce was co-founder and owner of the iconic Shaboo Inn\, a popular Wil
limantic nightclub in the seventies. The club brought in every famous ba
nd you can imagine from around the world\, right here to Mansfield/willima
ntic. At the Shaboo\, one of Bruce's biggest responsibilities was market
ing and advertising. This led him to his next career as an advertising a
ccount executive for the Chronicle News and the Reminder Press. Bruce's
understanding of business came from first working in his father's restaura
nt (Lou's) in eagleville\, being an active partner in the Shaboo for ten y
ears and then helping scores of business owners in the area in marketing t
heir business with the newspaper. With his wife Therese\, he founded the
bread box folk theater in Willimantic in 2009. Bruce uses his past skills
at booking great national entertainment to bring touring folk acts and pa
st shaboo legends to perform to benefit the covenant soup kitchen. they ha
ve raised over 90\,000 dollars so far. He also has done a major benefit
dance for the past sixteen years with his band\, the Bandaleros\, to pay t
he $12\,000 rent for the No Freeze homeless shelter in Willimantic. He wil
lingly donates his music to many other area charities such as the American
Cancer Society\, Windham Area Interfaith Ministry\, Windham Aids Program\
, Chocolate Festival\, Eastern Ct. RailRoad Museum etc. or anyone else w
ho needs his help at the time. Today you can catch Bruce performing live m
usic at many area restaurants and venues as well as hosting "On the Homefr
ont"\, a local community television show and helping his community in many

singer/songwriter from South Killingly\, Connecticut. His musical journey
began by hosting an open mic at La Boca in Middletown CT years ago. After
playing out solo for awhile he started a band called “Freedom in Stereo
